A solo founder runs about 15 business tasks on Claude Code and n8n

In plain words

Felix builds with Claude Code and runs morning email summaries, content, client reports and social posts through self-hosted n8n.

What happened: About 15 regular tasks run on their own, for roughly €150–300 a month in tools.

How to do it yourself

Our suggested steps. The company didn't publish theirs.

  1. 1

Self-host n8n (or use n8n cloud) and connect Gmail.

  2. 2

Build a 7am workflow: fetch yesterday's emails, send to Claude with the prompt below, email yourself the summary.

  3. 3

Add a second workflow for your weekly client report.

  4. 4

Use Claude Code to write any custom bits n8n can't do.

  5. 5

Add one process a week; kill any you don't use.

The instructions to give the AI

Paste this into Claude Code (the free plan is fine), swap the [brackets] for your details, and test it on a few real examples.

This is one part of the setup. It won't connect to your phone, inbox or other apps on its own; the steps above cover that.

Agent instructions (prompt)

Summarise these emails for a solo founder. Group into: needs reply today, waiting on others, FYI, junk. For 'reply today', draft a 2-line reply each. Keep the whole thing scannable in 60 seconds.
[paste]

[Highlighted] = replace with your own details before you run it.

What you should get back: "Reply today: client invoice query, Sam's contract. Waiting: 3. FYI: 5. Junk: 12 (archived)."
